Team Martinelli Motorsports was founded by George and Darla Martinelli in 1999. The team was formed with the idea that a motorsports team should be professionally marketed, have unique qualities, and be managed with both the sponsors' and teams best interests as top priority.

Martinelli Motorsports is a unique race team, in the sense that with five riders we cover most race classes on any given weekend. Our riders consist of a past National Champion winner, teamed with a former model (and the only women ever to race professionally in the Buell Lightning Series). With five racers and a team manager who's motto is "second place is the first looser" we will be the team that owns the podium in 2003.

For the 2003 season Martinelli Motorsports will have the winning edge with former AMA racer Ryan Banks teamed with Buell Lightning Series racer Darla Martinelli. These two will compete in all Formula USA Team Challenge events. For the 2003 season Darla will share time racing in select Buell Lightning races along with CCS Lightweight Superbike classes. With the opportunity for one team to enter numerous classes, it will be a common sight to see two Martinelli Motorsports bikes at the grid for a Team Challenge race.

This years goal for the team is simple, win races, which inturn wins championships. With competing in six National events and fifteen Regional races, this team's goal is definitely obtainable. We are a team on a mission, so come watch the excitement of motorcycle roadracing, and when your at the track stop by the Martinelli Motorsports transport to meet our riders and check out our sponsor's products.
