Hello. We would like to take this oppurtunity to introduce the control riders at JenningsGP.

We are not the fastest riders at the track, nor do any of us know it all, but we all sure love sharing what knowledge we can with other riders. We continuosly strive to become better, faster and safer. Often, we learn from each other and just as often we learn from you.

Our job is simple; helping new riders and novice riders safely reach the next level of track riding and insure your first track experiences are as incredible as ours was.

There are control riders at every JenningsGP track event to instruct and correct track procedures and "etiquite". We are available for on and off track assistance to every novice rider and will help intermidiate and expert riders as time allows. (our primary attention is to the novice group)

You can easily identify us by our bright yellow shirts worn on the track. If the control riders below have submitted thier email address in thier bio, it means he or she welcomes emails from anyone if you have any questions or need assistance in other ways.

All of these riders are friendly, approachable and knowledgable.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better. You already have friends at JenningsGP.

Hi! My name is Jessica Parker Lato, otherwise known as "Chloe's Mom". Rat (Ed Lato) is my husband. I just can't thank God enough for the life he's allowed me. I've got the best husband I could ever ask for, the best friends anyone could ever want, and I've been given some amazing opportunities, one of which is exploring this two-wheeled world with a vengence. We got into motorcycles for the thrill factor and anyone who's been on a track can attest to at least a week's anticipation before hand, an all day adrenalin high when you're there, and weeks worth of re-living the experience, staring at your pictures and talking it up with your friends afterward! One unexpected benefit is the social aspect. You'll meet some of the greatest people you'll ever know at the race tracks. It doesn't get any better than Jennings GP (it's our first pick for special occasions - we've spent our last four wedding anniversaries at JGP) - great layout and the BEST staff around!! Whether you're coming out for the thrill or to hone your skills, I look forward to meeting you and sharing in your experience! Welcome to "Team Addicted"!!! My email is Jessica@EncompassPG.com

Streetrider: Scooter only... it's just not safe
Favorite track: JenningsGP
Favor Racers: AMA- Josh Hayes

Bio info: Aside from commuting on a Honda Saber for awhile in college, I'm pretty new to the bike scene. Three years ago I borrowed a buddy's SV650 and rode around on the street for about a week and was instantly hooked. Naturally, I went and bought a 600 GSXR. Several weeks after that, I went and watched the Daytona 200 and was instantly bent on taking it to the track. Several weeks after that, I did an Ed Bargy day at JGP and it was all over. I've been on the track as much as possible ever since.

Favorite Quote: "Sometimes you have to slow down to go faster" - Darrell Waltrip

I always liked & wanted a dirtbike when I was a kid, but always lived in the city. Our family moved to the country in 1985, and got my 1st motorized vehicle. It was a 1984 Honda ATC 110. In May of '05 I bought my very 1st and only motorcycle (to date), my '03 CBR 600RR. I'd heard of JenningsGP before buying my bike, as our head Security Manager rode & raced CCS @ JGP. I rode the street for 8 months & logged 8000+ miles before getting on the track (Jennings) in Jan. of '06. I gave up the street immediately afterwards, and have since put about 6,000 track miles on my trusty 'ol 600RR. I've raced one time...CCS in Oct. of '07 @ Jennings. If all plays out, I hope to be racing the WERA North Florida series in '08. THANK YOU BORGE for JENNINGSGP!!!

Favorite Racer: Nicky Hayden
Favorite Quote: "We are in control of our own attitudes"
Advice for riders: "Practice makes perfect…"

I started involuntary riding when my mom used to zoom around on her bike till she was probably 7mo pregnant. Something about Soviet-era 2-smokers got to me back then. I've always dreamt about and wanted bikes, always. Don't recall a day I didn't. Started at 15 on a white Suzuki scooter with pink pin-striping my aunt gave me :) Got my first big bike in college, went to the twisties, then to the track, then some club racing… and there is no stopping me now. I hope I can help you all learn a little and keep Jennings GP the truly enjoyable experience it is for all of us.

See you at the track,
-Nick

Bike(s): 2006 Yamaha R1

Favorite Track: Jennings GP (of course)
Favorite Racer: Ben Spies (Local Favorites: Dwire, Reese Wacker)

Personal Favorite Quote: “The secret of success is the consistency to pursue”
Originally from Portland, Or I started riding dirt bikes at the age of 13, progressed to riding friends street bikes (rained to much in Portland for me to buy a bike) as I got older. Moved to Jacksonville 10 yrs ago, met some lifelong friends/riding buddies & was invited Jennings GP for a private weekend. From that point on I was hooked, turned the street bike into a track bike and never went back to the streets (and I must say I have no regrets).
I am excited to try to help other riders reach & exceed their goals as others have done for me. The smile on rider’s faces after a day at JGP is priceless. I look forward to meeting you all and welcoming you to Jennings GP!

Contact: Coastalducaticlub@gmail.com
Bikes: Ducati 996, Ducati 900 SS, Ducati Monster, Ducati HyperStrada,
Ducati 450 Scrambler, Triumph 595,
Favorite track: JenningsGP
Favor Racers: Carl Fogarty, Troy Baylis, Eddie Lawson, Colin Edwards,

Bio info: Born in Hungary Budapest my family migrated to NYC in the
summer of 1980. Finished school in 1989 moved to Deland FL, and been
here ever since. I'm a master goldsmith and own a jewelry store
downtown Deland. My motorcycle riding experience dates back to the
early 80's on my cousins minibike. They had a summer house on a lake
in NJ, My older cousin was teaching how to ride and his famous last
words were, ''only [sissies] use brakes'' so i hopped on, hit the gas
through my aunts flower beds, through the lawn, toward the dock, on
the dock and off said dock into the lake, i never once hit the brakes.
The rest is history. I have roughly 200,000 miles logged on various
street bikes, Raced FTR Hare Scrambles and Enduros for a few years and
then was introduced to track days and never looked back. Looking
forward to helping first timers gain experience on the track and
hopefully get them addicted like the rest of us

Occupation: Airline Pilot
JGP Handle: INDY
Contact: niteflite@att.net
Bike(s): 05 GSXR600, 04 VTX Honda, 08 Yamaha 235 Dirt Bike, 04 Custom Chopper
Tracks Ridden: Jennings GP (favorite), Putnam, Gratton

I enjoy all aspects of the motorcycle world whether you throw the T bag and tent on the back of the cruiser for a trip over Bear Tooth Pass in Montana or a ride to Key West, a slow ride on the dirt roads of Arkansas with your 6 yr old grandson in front on his PW50 or doing a buck fifty between turns 2&3 at JGP. The track experience is by far the most exhilarating and can easily turn you into a track junkie. The track experience teaches you the proper technics to maintain complete control whether your on the fast part of the track or running through the technical parts. The Control Rider position allows me to observe riders enhancing their skill level to become a better rider and that is very rewarding.
